Do it right the first time
Hurry, hurry, hurry. Everyone is in a hurry. Just blast on through, and we’ll pick up the pieces later.
Sometimes it is faster, to work a little slower, and to get it right the first time. Often in our hurrying, we make even more work for ourselves. We quickly type a document, and then spend time spell-checking and correcting it later. We ship a hastily made product, and then spend time repairing it later.
And we live our lives at full volume, trying to get, and see, and do it all, only to realize too late, that we were in too much of a hurry to live with meaning and purpose.
There’s no sense in doing it fast, if you don’t do it right. That doesn’t mean we should drag our heels, just that we should not run off and leave our feet altogether. Take the time, make the effort, to do it right the first time, and you’ll have more time to do even more.
