What are you missing?

Think of all the information and stimulation that comes your way on a daily basis. Your five senses are constantly taking in new data, much more than you can possibly hope to process, and more still than you can ever hope to understand or even remember.

To deal with it all, we build our own filters, known as assumptions and preconceptions. Once in place, they operate automatically, and so seamlessly that we’re not even aware of the vast majority of them.

Still, some things get through. But doesn’t it make you wonder, what you might be missing? The main things we experience, are the things we already know, or at least the things we know to look for. In a very real, very tangible sense, we are each responsible for our own reality.

That’s why it matters what you think, what you believe, what you look for, what you expect. Because your own reality, depends on you.
