It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.

Put it into practice

What are the beliefs, the values and the commitments that are sincerely yours? They’re the ones you put into practice. What are the true priorities in your life? They’re the ones which are evidenced by your actions from day to day, from moment to moment.

Those people who are the very best at what they do get that way through practice. The best salespeople, the best musicians, the best designers, writers, actors, coaches, doctors, ministers, teachers and engineers are the ones who practice most diligently.

It’s easy to say what you’re going to do, or to speculate about what you would like to do. What really matters, though, are the actions you take. When you put your thoughts, your words, your intentions and your values into practice, you give meaning and substance to them. And it can bring about great things.

Take what you most fervently believe, what you most longingly hope for, what you most sincerely value, and put those things into practice. That’s the way to truly make them real.
