Firmly in control

If you could reverse the direction of time, it might be useful to assign blame. Because blame is all about the past. Yet time moves only forward. And no matter how precisely you analyze and reconstruct the past, you won’t be able to change what has already happened.

When you truly desire to move forward, assigning blame won’t do it. The way to move positively ahead is to take responsibility.

The situation in which you find yourself is yours, no matter how it came to be, no matter who may be to blame. Life moves forward, so let your thinking and your actions be focused in the same positive, productive direction.

From this point on, your best strategy is to embrace responsibility. After all, the person with the most vested interest in your future is you.

Take responsibility, and you put yourself firmly in control.
