Pure experience

In the silence there is so very much you can discover and know. Let go of the noisy confusion of your own thoughts and just listen to refreshing silence for a time.

The ability to think, to decide, to make informed judgments is truly a blessing of enormous value. Yet it can also be just as valuable to quiet those thoughts for a while.

For sometimes you can get so caught up in your own thoughts that everything you experience is filtered through, and often obscured by those thoughts. Sometimes it is useful to just let go of those tightly wound thoughts and to let the pure experience of living touch you directly.

Let yourself know life itself, not just what you think about life. Still your thoughts, and take in the experience.

There is much that you can know through your thoughts. And there is also much you can know by regularly giving those thoughts a rest.
