Positive cause
The most powerful time to be positive is when there is no reason to be positive. For positive focus is most valuable and useful not when it is an effect, but when it is a cause.
If you attempt to keep your attitude in line with circumstances, you’ll be harshly and abruptly tossed around. Instead, resolve to be positive no matter what happens, and what will happen is that conditions will improve.
Rather than letting yourself be negatively influenced by the world around you, set out to provide your own positive influence.
Is your attitude normally determined by what’s going on with you at the moment? Imagine how powerful it would be to turn that around, so that what’s going on would be determined by your attitude.
No, everything is not going to fall magically into place just because you have a positive attitude. What will happen, though, is that you’ll be far more open to the positive possibilities, and that can give you a powerful advantage.
In fact, it is precisely during the difficult times that you’ll get the most value from seeing the world in a positive, life-affirming way. You’ll be able to take whatever happens, and use it to move solidly forward.
