From your heart
Those who are truly admired by others have not directly sought that admiration. Instead, they have sought to make a difference, to create real value. If you seek only to impress others, they will most certainly not be impressed. Yet when you work to be and to give the very best you can, people cannot help but be impressed.
When you attempt, through outside appearances, to be someone you’re not, such a charade will be of no value to anyone. On the other hand, when you work to make the most of the person you are, magnificent things can happen.
If you worry constantly about what others think of you, you’ll be immobilized by doubt and fear. Instead, genuinely express yourself in your words and in your actions. Some people will agree with you, and others will not, no matter what you say or do. So you’re much better off when you speak and act from the heart.
Be who you really are, in all that you do. Life is best by far when you live it sincerely.
