Sometimes the best way to move forward is to slow down. Bigger, busier and faster are not always better, though we often assume they are without even thinking about it. A full calendar does not necessarily mean a full life.
You work hard for your life. Spend some significant time living it. You make many sacrifices for your family. Spend some real sustained and joyful time being with that family, free of schedules or expectations. Live the richness that you so often strive to attain.
Stop and enjoy the things you normally hurry past. Spend some quiet, calm, peaceful time, not as an item on your schedule, but apart from it. Let down your defenses, let go of your expectations, give up your pretenses and simply enjoy the supreme beauty of being alive.
