Overwhelmed by possibilities

Are you ever overwhelmed by your possibilities? Particularly now, when every aspect of life offers so many different choices, it is becoming increasingly difficult to focus on just a few. Yet without focus, even in the face of unlimited possibilities, nothing much gets done.

Perhaps you’ve been reluctant to follow a single possibility because it means denying so many other possibilities. Remember, though, that there are always new possibilities opening up, to replace the ones you leave behind. And the fact is, the more you accomplish today, the better equipped you’ll be to take advantage of the possibilities of tomorrow.

Don’t be concerned about the possibilities you’re unable to follow. You’ll always have more than you need. Rather, give your total focus and attention to the few possibilities that you do choose to follow. Rather than hoarding all your possibilities, set to work on specific ones and mine their enormous potential.
