What do you carry?
Whatever you experience today, will be a memory tomorrow. This day is a single point in time, a mile marker along the road of life. It passes by quickly and soon fades into the distance behind you.
Yet in many ways, today will always be with you, in the experiences you gather and carry along on the journey. A very brief experience can often influence an entire lifetime. Long after something is over, it continues to affect you. The original event may have been entirely out of your hands, yet the extended, continuing experience of it is completely under your control. You choose what to keep, what to discard, and how to think about it.
What experiences do you continue to carry? Do they lift up your life and propel you forward, or do they hold you back? No matter what has happened in the past, you can take from it whatever you decide to, and move forward on your own terms.
Experience itself is fleeting, and yet it lasts within you in whatever way you wish to perpetuate it. Make it work for you.
