Best possible consequences
You’ll always regret doing what you knew at the time was a bad idea. You’ll never regret avoiding situations that are certain to get you in trouble.
You’ll never regret getting work done ahead of time. You’ll always regret waiting until the last minute.
Before making a choice, ask yourself a simple question. Will I regret this, or will I be thankful for it?
The future is already on its way. With it will come the very real and present consequences of your actions right now.
You can choose to optimize those consequences, or not. You can choose to be filled with gratitude rather than with regret, or not.
Whatever you now avoid, or undertake, or say, or choose or commit to, you’re the person who will live with the consequences. So take the opportunity while it’s still available to you, to create the best consequences possible.
