Embrace discipline

Small actions, repeated with persistence, have the power to bring big results. As you live in the present, be ever mindful of the future you are already creating.

What’s tedious, uncomfortable, and inconvenient for a relatively short time can create value that lasts indefinitely. Avail yourself often of that bargain.

It can often require all your strength in the moment to avoid a particular temptation. Yet successfully doing so greatly enhances the quality of all your subsequent moments.

Discipline might feel like punishment, especially when it’s not your choice. Nonetheless, within discipline is the potential for great opportunity.

That’s because discipline aligns you with reality. And there are enormous advantages when reality drives your attitude and your actions.

As painful as discipline can be, it will almost always have a massive positive impact on your life if you handle it well. Embrace discipline for the opportunity it is, and reap the enormous benefits it enables you to create.
