Purposeful ambition

Move forward with ambition. Temper that ambition with humility, gratitude, and kindness.

The problem with blind ambition is, it makes you blind. Your obsessive desire causes you to lose sight of what it means to be human.

Achievement is necessary and important, yet it is not everything. Achievement must always be a means to an end, for it is woefully insufficient as an end unto itself.

You’re able to achieve great things. Yet you also have the capacity for love, joy, connection, and so much more.

Pursue ambition in a way that makes you more a part of the rich tapestry of life, rather than apart from life. Achieve in the service of a purpose that is deep, generous and more meaningful than the achievement itself.

With ambition, you can create value that flows from the genuine and unique person you are. Just make sure the ambition does not consume that beautiful person in the process.
