Making do

You can work with what you have. You can start from where you are.

Conditions are far from perfect, yet they are adequate. This may not be the ideal time, yet it is the time you have.

It’s really no big deal if things are not exactly the way you’d like. Because you have the amazing ability to make do with what’s available, as it is, and transform it into what you envision.

In fact, the challenge of making do could very well make your work more robust, more meaningful, more enduring. It can inject authentic character into what you do.

It’s admirable to strive toward perfection. But it’s unrealistic to expect that you can begin with perfection.

The essential factor in any accomplishment is not what you start with but what you put into it. You can make do, and with your drive, resourcefulness, and imagination, you can make it great.
