Fulfillment in the process

Don’t spend the whole effort wishing you were finished. Give your work the time and focus it deserves.

Remind yourself how fortunate you are to be able to have an impact. Welcome the opportunity to create new value, to make a difference.

Although the particular task you’re working on may not be glamorous or trendy, it does matter, it has value. It is certainly worthy of your respect and attention.

Don’t treat it like something you’re just squeezing in between other activities. Give the work you’re doing, whatever it may be, your best thoughts, your diligence, your concentration.

You’ll be finished soon enough. Until then, be fully present with what you’re doing.

Find fulfillment in the process, in the endeavor, in the focus and respect with which you work. You’re adding value to life, so embrace the experience and give it your best.
