Fresh set of eyes

How would you advise yourself if you were someone else? If you could stand back and look objectively at your own life for a few hours or a few days, would that change the way you live it?

It’s easy to get so caught up in the challenges, dramas and emotions of your own immediate situation that you lose your sense of the bigger picture. So in your mind, step out of the box you’re in and look at your life from a new perspective.

You’re likely to see valuable resources and opportunities that have been there all along, but that you had never noticed before. You may also notice habits, priorities, worries or compulsions that are just plain foolish.

Put some distance between your demanding ego and your thinking mind. Give some truly objective consideration to all the assumptions you make and to all those things you do without even thinking twice.

You are the world’s leading expert on you. Yet most of that expertise goes to waste because of all the knowledge of yourself that you’ve taken for granted for so long.

Step back a little way, and you’ll actually be able to take a closer and more meaningful look. Look at yourself with a fresh, objective set of eyes, and you’ll see plenty of great ways to make your life even better.
