To get back my youth I would do anything in the world, except take exercise, get up early, or be respectable.

Working with life

There’s no sense in blaming the mountain for being too high. Instead, find a way to climb it.

There is nothing to be gained by blaming your troubles on the turn of events. That only makes the troubles worse.

Circumstances are not stacked against you, unless you imagine them to be. Instead of blaming life for how it goes, adapt and respond positively to whatever happens.

The setbacks you encounter are what they are. Those setbacks have no choice, but you do. You can choose to let them pull you down. Or you can choose to let them provide you with a positive way forward.

Instead of imagining that life is working against you, imagine yourself to be working along with life. And you’ll find much more of it going your way.
