Anyone who conducts an argument by appealing to authority is not using his intelligence; he is just using his memory.

Breaking free

The big, serious problems have a way of quickly and powerfully commanding your attention. As a result you’ll usually get busy and do something about them.

But the little, nagging, everyday problems don’t usually come with that same sense of urgency. And because of that, those little problems can often be the most destructive. They’re the ones that seem too trivial to tackle, so they continue to take their toll, day after day. Over time, they can drain more and more of your energy away, a little more each day.

Those little nagging problems don’t take much effort to solve. It’s mostly just a matter of taking the time to do it. There’s something you can do today that will completely eliminate one of them. And then tomorrow you can get rid of another one. Free yourself from those little, draining problems, one by one. As you do, your energy level and effectiveness will truly start to soar.
