Plenty of time
With only a few days remaining in 1997, most of us are now looking forward to the new year, making plans and setting goals. Though the change of the calendar is little more than a bookkeeping procedure, we look at it as an opportunity to “wipe the slate clean” and make a “fresh start” on life.
Yet, there’s still plenty of time to make the most of 1997. No, the slate is not clean. A lot of things have already happened this year. But so what? Don’t wait for the calendar to change, to make a fresh start. If you need to make changes, make them now.
You were born to do great things, and today is the day to get started. It is never too early, and never too late, to fulfill your possibilities. Your life is not determined by some arbitrary numbers on a calendar. The quality and richness of your life is determined by you, and by what you do right now.
There is no such thing as a “good” year or a “bad” year. Life is what you make of it. Get a jump on the new year. Start today to make the most of every moment.
