Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but sometimes, playing a poor hand well.

There is always something

There is always something you can do. Whatever sadness, or obstacle or challenge or desperate situation you face, the best course is to do something about it. Whatever you can. No matter how small. Do something.

It may not seem like much, but it is critically important. It may not improve the situation, but it will improve you. As long as you are doing something, you have control over your life. Wishing for what might have been, or dwelling on how unfair it all is, will not get you anywhere.

Taking action puts you in control. By taking action, you refuse to let it get you down. It will still be painful and difficult, but you can handle it, you can get through it, when you decide to do something.
