Lens of usefulness

What can you do today to be useful to yourself? What can you do to be useful to others?

You might feel the need to put time and effort into how impressive you appear. But everyone else cares a whole lot more about how helpful you can be.

Opportunities almost never arrive as fully formed value waiting to be scooped up. Opportunities show up most often as useful work that needs to be done.

With that in mind, look around and you’ll see many such opportunities. Instead of dismissing or running away from what’s wrong, imagine what steps you can take to make it right.

Those steps probably won’t be immediately obvious. Yet with persistence, and a desire to have a positive impact, you’re likely to figure them out.

Look at the world through the lens of your own potential usefulness. What you discover will enable you to bring much goodness to life.
