Better to know

Even unwelcome information can be good, useful information. It’s better to know something that is difficult and inconvenient than not to know at all.

You may not be pleased about what’s going on. Yet when you’re certain about it, you have more options in dealing with that reality.

The bearer of bad news could very well be the bearer of valuable opportunity. The sooner you know about a problem, for example, the more time you have to address it.

Rather than getting angry or feeling sorry for yourself, put your time and energy to creative use. Acknowledge the situation, then work to fashion a positive way forward.

Often, what you don’t want to hear is precisely what you need to know. Consider your best response, and then begin to act on it.

When the truth is not preferable, it is still just as true, and just as powerful. Embrace the truth and align yourself with that power.
