Hard work without talent is a shame, but talent without hard work is a tragedy.

Hands on

To make progress, get involved. Take a hands-on approach, dig into the details.

Work to develop an effective plan for moving forward. Then put sustained effort into implementing that plan.

Observation and speculation have their place. Yet they must result in real-world actions that make a difference.

Don’t merely announce what you think would be the best thing to do. Invest yourself in setting it up and getting it done.

There’s no shortage of people who are eager to stand on the sidelines and shout out advice. But someone needs to get in the game, take on the various challenges and fulfill the unique opportunities of the situation.

Be the person who is ready and willing to do that. Get yourself involved, and enjoy the satisfaction of making good things happen.
