Choose accordingly

Each time you make a choice, look at the long-term consequences of that choice. In your mind, transcend the moment you’re in.

Consider that choice from the perspective of your whole life. Take into account all the people who could be affected, including yourself and those you care most about.

Respect and respond to the immediate situation, to its opportunities, to its dangers. But don’t let a temporary condition cause you to create a permanent regret.

Some choices enable you to grow stronger. Other choices lead you to become weaker.

Remind yourself of that, and use that reminder to your benefit. Ask yourself if you would rather be stronger or weaker, and choose accordingly.

Your life unfolds largely in accordance with your choices. Find every possible way to make those choices the best they can be.
