Give kindness

Somewhere in just about every person is the longing to give kindness, to be diligent, to do great work and to make a difference in life. Sadly, those longings are often deeply buried by fears, insecurities, doubts, mistrust, disillusionment and so much more.

When people feel that their goodness is not appreciated, they can give up on that goodness. Even so, the potential for it is still very much there.

Imagine what would happen if you simply allowed other people to be kind and helpful to you by being kind and helpful yourself. Imagine what would happen if you could encourage the goodness in others by giving new life and energy to your own goodness.

Though such an approach sounds seriously naive when you consider all the disillusioned people in the world, where it truly has power is on a personal level. The fact is, you can very effectively share your goodness with one other person at a time, and can awaken the latent goodness in that person.

Though it may not immediately be returned to you, give kindness. Even if you do not see the positive influence of your goodness in others, it is there.

Give kindness, and allow that kindness to resonate. Give kindness, and let it spread far beyond you.
