What you expect
Don’t lower your expectations to get them into agreement with your reality. Instead, lift up your reality so that it meets the very best of your expectations.
It can be tempting to accept less from yourself than you’re capable of achieving. But that does not do anyone any good. Your highest expectations are yours for a reason. They’re yours because you know that, even though they present a challenge, you’re capable of achieving them.
Your expectations send a strong message not only to yourself, but also to those around you. Let that message be a positive, confident and enthusiastic one.
When things don’t turn out as expected, that’s no reason to change your expectations. Rather than changing your expectations, the thing to do is to change your approach. There is a way to achieve precisely what you expect. Expect the best, stick with it, and you’ll get there.
