Allow the enjoyment

The more you see yourself as needing anything, the less you’re able to enjoy it. So let go of the need and allow the enjoyment to happen.

Do you need to go to work today, or do you enjoy the opportunity to create value and to make a difference? It all depends on how you look at it. See your effort strictly as a need and it takes on the qualities of a burden. See that effort as a choice, a pleasure, a privilege, and you raise it to a whole new level of effectiveness.

Do you see yourself as needing a certain level of income, or status, or wealth, or power before you can be happy? Let go of the need, let go of the conditions you’ve imposed upon your happiness and allow the enjoyment to begin.

The more you can allow yourself to enjoy, the more there will be to enjoy. Enjoy the simple as well as the profound, the plain as well as the beautiful, the calm as well as the exciting.

Life’s richness comes not from how much you have, but from how little you need. Let go of the need to need so much, and let more enjoyment into every moment.
