Not without consequence

There are always consequences to the actions you take, and sometimes that arrangement can seem to be a difficult burden. On one level you understand how everything has consequences, and on another level you find yourself wishing you could somehow escape from them.

What if you could make all sorts of mistakes and never have to face the unpleasant consequences of those mistakes? What if there was no need to create value in order to receive value in return? At first thought, it might seem that life would be easier if there were no consequences. Yet in reality, life without consequences would be completely chaotic and most likely unbearable.

For indeed, the consequences are what enable you to accomplish the things you decide to accomplish. Consequences make possible everything from starting your car’s engine to climbing a mountain to building a successful business. If there were no consequences, learning and experience would have no value because they could not be put to use. There would be no escape from the frustration of a world without consequences.

Rather than wishing you could avoid consequences, learn from them and find the actions that will bring about the results you desire. Life is full of consequences, and as a result it is overflowing with positive possibilities.
