Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists in choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable.

Where you intend to go

How can you keep yourself positive when the people around you are negative? How can you stay positive when things never seem to go your way?

The way to stay positively focused because it is the best alternative. The fact that others are negative is an even greater reason for you to stay positive. The fact that you’re bombarded with difficulties gives you even more of a reason to focus on the positive.

You’ve got to look toward where you want to go. What if you tried to drive your car forward while only looking backwards? You wouldn’t get very far. Focus your attention and your efforts on where you intend to go. Make it the very best place you can possibly imagine and then do what it takes to get there.

Let your destination determine your attitude, not the bumps along the way. Point yourself in a positive direction, and the shortcomings of the people and situations you face won’t be able to hold you back.
