Count your possibilities
When you’re low on energy and lacking motivation or enthusiasm, it’s time to reconnect with your positive possibilities. Sit down and make a written list of at least ten improvements you can undertake. They can include improvements affecting your health and fitness, your career, your home, your business, your family, or any other aspect of your life.
They don’t have to be things you can complete right now. They just have to be things you would really like to do, things that would genuinely improve the quality of your own life and the lives of those around you. Challenge yourself to come up with at least ten. If you can think of more, that’s even better. Be sure to put them in writing. That makes them much more real.
With your written list there in front of you, consider this. Your disappointments are all behind you, yet they’re still trying to hold you back. Your positive possibilities are right there in front of you, very real and very potent, waiting for you to fulfill them. Choose to focus on the possibilities. Let the disappointments fall farther and farther behind as you move yourself forward. When you need a boost, count your possibilities. Then get yourself busy and make them happen.
