Initiative
Those who take the initiative are the ones who shape the world. Those who wait to be told what to do are the ones who end up having to do what they’re told.
If you desire to have a say in matters, get yourself genuinely involved in those matters. Jump in and participate. Rather than simply complaining about circumstances, step up and put in the effort to make them better. If you want to make the decisions, then make the effort. The only real, lasting authority is that which is earned.
One of the most effective ways to make your voice heard and to make your opinions known is through the actions you take. The impact of what you say is dependent on what you do. Put some substance and power behind your words with the value of your effort. Take the initiative, get involved, demonstrate your commitment with your time and energy, and people will respect what you have to say.
