Be interesting and unique

There is so much information available online that it takes something exceptional to really stand out. People online are not easily impressed, and they don't tolerate blatant hype and promotion. They are looking for unique information that they can use. You can't market online with vague promises and unsubstantiated claims.

Furthermore, you must be interesting and innovative. Frame your "sales" message within richly constructed information structure. Offer fresh new ideas, not the same old pitch.

Look at all the other Web sites, commercial and non-commercial. You'll find a richness of information. Keep that in mind when designing your own online marketing program.
