There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.

Acknowledge change

by Ralph Marston

There’s no point in fighting a change that’s already occurred. Time moves only in one direction, and that direction is not backwards.

Even so, you’re not stuck forever with the new situation. Anything that’s changed once, can certainly change again.

Whether you’re pleased with what has changed or not, your best option is the same. You must acknowledge the reality of the situation.

Pretending there’s been no change, or trying to wish it away, is useless. In order to improve on what has happened, recognize that it has indeed happened.

In one way or another, change is sure to come on a regular basis. Though preventing all change is not realistic, you can always find ways to push the changes in a positive direction.

Sometimes change will go your way and other times it won’t. In every case, by acknowledging what has changed you enable yourself to improve on it.
