Invest in truth

Don’t become exhausted by turning everything into a performance for show. Free yourself to live the wonder of genuine effort and experience.

It benefits no one to prove how virtuous you are. Quietly offer goodness so that pretense is unable to get in the way.

What any other person thinks of you is that person’s choice. Don’t desperately make it your ongoing project.

Focus instead on what you do and why. Maintain a genuinely decent appearance, but don’t let it become your primary concern.

The truth of who you are is vastly more valuable than any display you might put forth. Even the most impressive contrivance cannot begin to equal authenticity.

Invest time and energy, words and actions, in truth. Skip the scheming, and sincerely engage with what’s real in yourself and your world.
