Reconsider assumptions

Venture beyond your assumptions. You’re likely to make some valuable discoveries.

Maybe what you’ve assumed to be useless or undesirable could be made beneficial. Perhaps what you thought was impossible would be possible under the right conditions.

Certainly that’s not always going to be the case. Yet in many situations it’s worth considering.

Don’t let your assumptions water down your ambitions. Seek instead to fulfill those ambitions by challenging your assumptions and looking for how you could transcend them.

Valid assumptions are valuable because they enable you to avoid repeatedly thinking through what you’ve already considered. Keep in mind, though, that conditions often change, new information and techniques become available.

Do rely on your good assumptions, but don’t let them keep you stuck. There’s always more to consider, so make a habit of doing so.
