A religious awakening which does not awaken the sleeper to love has roused him in vain.

Beyond where it’s comfortable

by Ralph Marston

Make yourself comfortable, but not too comfortable. Enjoy life’s comforts without becoming dependent on them.

Constantly surrounding yourself with comfort puts you in danger of complacency. The more you feel entitled to comfort, the less motivated you become to take on transformative challenges.

Comfort is nice, and that’s the problem with overdoing it. Take care not to let comfort trap you and weaken you.

Appreciate the comforts while pushing yourself to step out beyond them. Use your comfort zone as a place to re-energize rather than a place of permanent refuge.

Life is full of great possibilities. To embrace them and fulfill them, you’ll need to experience discomfort.

Get out beyond where it’s comfortable. That’s where you enrich all of life.
