The will to win is not nearly as important as the will to prepare to win.

Opportunity in frustration

by Ralph Marston

Take your focus off the frustration you feel. Direct your thinking to the opportunities it presents.

When anything has you frustrated, it will get you interested, involved, and energetic. Make smart use of that energy and connection.

What brings your frustration to the surface is your certainty that the situation could be better. So ask yourself, what precisely would make it better?

More importantly, what can you do to bring about that improvement? How exactly can you harness the passion you feel and create a positive, valuable outcome?

Frustration gets your attention because it feels so unpleasant, because something in your world seems out of place. Once your attention is thus captured, transform your frustration into a creative and useful force.

Choose to exploit the situation rather than merely cursing it. Every time you get frustrated, envision the good you can do, then step forward and make it happen.
