Courage to go for it

by Ralph Marston

When you wish to make a difference, you must be willing to take risks. Everything worthwhile requires effort, and also courage.

The reason any achievement is so valuable is because it is not guaranteed. To reach the goal you must accept the risk.

Set out to solve a problem, and there’s a chance you could make the problem worse. Pursue a particular reward, and the cost might be greater than the reward itself.

Yet in the long run the worst thing that could happen is not failure or loss. The worst that could happen is for nothing to ever happen.

The crop may thrive if you plant it, or it might fail. But if you don’t plant it, you’re certain to have no crop at all.

Achievement exists on the other side of risk. Have the courage to go for it, and make achievement possible.
