Goodness adds up

Goodness rarely makes headlines. Even so, it is constantly enriching lives.

Many of the best things that continue to happen, you probably don’t even notice. Yet you’d quickly notice, and desperately miss them, if they stopped.

Goodness does not boast about itself, though it keeps life going from day to day. People do the right thing, effort creates achievement, and quietly, persistently, the world moves forward.

It’s easy to become dismayed at all the troubles that arise in life. Fortunately, goodness always finds creative, innovative, compelling ways to expand its positive power.

You won’t always see an explicit reward for acting to make the world a better place. Nevertheless, the goodness adds up to benefit all of life.

Appreciate those benefits, and the people who make them possible. Never pass up the opportunity to do so yourself.
