Get the work done

When you’re enthusiastic about it, do the work. When you’re not particularly excited about it, do the work.

It’s great to feel good about whatever you’re doing. Even more important, though, is consistency.

There are sure to be times when you’re just not that into it, when you’re tempted to settle for a lame excuse. Those are precisely the times when it pays big dividends to push on through and get the work done.

Though it may not feel so great in the moment, you’ll be exceedingly thankful afterward. You know you have what it takes to persevere, and it’s valuable to experience yourself doing so.

Even when you’re not looking forward to it, make the effort. Before long, you’ll be able to take satisfaction in having it done.

Fill your time creating value, not generating regret. Whether you’re thrilled about it or not, get the work done.
