Clarify your objective

Do you ever have trouble taking action, or being effective in that action? Improve the situation by making the goal more compelling.

Get absolutely clear about what you seek to accomplish and why. Drill down into the details of the results you desire.

Understand and express to yourself the connection between your goal and what you deeply care about. If there is no connection, either forge one that’s authentic, or consider directing your efforts elsewhere.

The energy and competence necessary to get anything done, come from purpose. From an unambiguous purpose will flow an abundance of energy, without it you will only ever get halfhearted attempts.

Clear, specific results and effective, persistent actions are inseparable, and feed upon each other. The objective must be continually integrated into the effort, and the effort into the objective.

Know precisely what you intend to do, and exactly why it matters. That gives you access to whatever is necessary to make it happen.
