A man is rich in proportion to the number of things which he can afford to let alone.

Changing world

by Ralph Marston

Good news is rarely as good as it first appears. Bad news is not usually as bad as it initially seems.

Keep that in mind, and don’t let the positive developments make you complacent. Don’t allow the negative developments to overwhelm you with dismay.

Every push in one direction will eventually lead to a pushback in the other direction. The pendulum swings, thus spending most of its time going through the middle.

Whatever multiple directions the various components of life may be heading, one thing is certain. Those directions will change.

Though you have little control over what happens in the surrounding world, you can make note of it and adjust your own actions accordingly. When the trend changes as it surely will, you’ll be ready with more adjustments.

Through it all, keep your focus on giving your best to whatever situation might arise. As the world changes, and then changes again, seize upon every opportunity to live with purpose, love, and truth.
