Commit yourself to truth

by Ralph Marston

The truth matters. Treat it with all the respect it is due.

There is no such thing as a small, insignificant lie. There is either truth or there is falsehood, and nothing in between.

Align yourself with truth, with real, verifiable objects, events, influences, and processes in the real world. Refuse to accept anything less.

Your life is too important to let it be compromised by falsehood. Live illuminated by the light of truth, not hiding in the darkness.

Truth is very often difficult, and yet it is absolutely necessary. You cannot thrive, cannot find any genuine fulfillment in what is false and deceptive.

Commit yourself to truth, and continue to remind yourself of that commitment. Truth is not the easiest way, but it is the only way to create enduring goodness.
