The Daily Motivator message for Slow improvement or quick decline Improvement can be a slow process that takes a long time. Yet at any point you must ask yourself whether you prefer slow improvement or quick decline. Almost always, that is the choice. If you’re not moving slowly and steadily in a good direction you’re likely to recklessly move fast in a negative one. Sure, if you can make quick progress that’s great. Yet even slow progress is preferable to sliding backwards. That’s especially true because any kind of decline has a way of quickly gaining momentum. So if you’re not moving forward, you’re likely to soon be rapidly losing ground. Even when the positive option won’t bring immediate positive results, go with it anyway. It certainly beats the alternative. Just about every decision represents a choice between slowly improving or quickly declining. Remind yourself to look at it that way, and you’re much more likely to make the best choice. © 2025 Ralph S. Marston, Jr.From The Daily Motivator website at http://greatday.com/motivate/251227.html |
