A timid person is frightened before a danger, a coward during the time, and a courageous person afterward.

Attend to your feelings

by Ralph Marston

If you find yourself feeling unfulfilled, give of yourself more generously. If you want to reduce stress, offer more kindness.

If you desire fewer worries, make it a point to put life’s issues into proper perspective. If you’re tired of so much anxiety, choose to be more patient.

The feelings you experience from day to day do not mysteriously arrive unprovoked. There’s a reason you have them, and plenty of useful things you can do in response to them.

Your feelings can inform you about the world you live in and the people around you. Yet their most profound messages are about you, your priorities, your behaviors, your values.

When you don’t like the way you feel, there’s a reason for that feeling. It’s likely prompting you to take a good look at the way you’re living your life.

Your feelings come from a part of you that seeks the best for you. Pay attention to them, make some adjustments, and you’ll probably feel a whole lot better.
