Between past and future

by Ralph Marston

Take inspiration from what has already happened. And find more inspiration in what can be.

The past is over, yet some of its energy lives on in the memories of what has happened and why. Use that energy to inform you and inspire you in your present choices and actions.

Though the future is not yet here, you can have a significant impact on the quality of that future. Set your priorities and live your life in a way that produces value in the days and years to come.

The flow of time may sometimes feel oppressive. Yet for all its challenges, time also provides great opportunities.

Though you are in many ways constrained by time, much of your awareness exists apart from time. With clarity about what has been, and a good sense about what is coming, you can use your awareness and intention to great benefit.

Let your actions in the present be enlightened by your knowledge of the past and encouraged by your vision of the future. You exist between what has been and what is coming, and are well positioned to make the best of both.
