The Daily Motivator message for Reconciliation You’ve had a disagreement, distressing words were exchanged, feelings are hurt. The situation is awkward and no one is giving up any ground. Someone needs to set things right. Maybe that someone could be you. When people are at odds with each other, that doesn’t help anyone, and everyone knows it. Yet all too often, pride and ego get in the way of reconciliation. The problem is, pride and ego will not sustain you. What would help, though, is to re-establish a fruitful and respectful connection. Even when you disagree with another person about almost everything, there’s at least one point on which you can both agree. You can agree to disagree with respect and civility. Rather than hanging on to the hurt, make the intentional choice to put it behind you. Offer to set things right, and that offer might just be eagerly welcomed. © 2025 Ralph S.
