The most difficult task

by Ralph Marston

Start with the hard stuff. Zero in on the most difficult task and get it done first.

After that point you’ll have no doubt you can accomplish whatever else you need to do. You’re able to push quickly forward knowing the day’s biggest challenge is behind you.

To complete a complicated, awkward, frustrating effort, you’ll rely heavily on your persistence. So tackle the effort before your persistence has been drained.

Dive in to the most demanding work when your energy and creativity are fresh. Jump quickly at the opportunity to be your best.

Demonstrate early to yourself how effective you can be. You’ll naturally become eager to expand that effectiveness to other work.

Begin where you know you’ll encounter the most resistance. Once you get through that, you’ll have plenty of momentum to get through everything else.
