Expand and improve

Go broad when you can. Go deep when you must.

The big picture matters, and so do the details. Challenge yourself to be comfortable and conversant with both.

Embrace opportunities to explore territories where you’ve never been before. Do some of that exploration on the ground, navigating through and getting a feel for the particulars.

You cannot know everything about everything. Yet you can become skilled at knowing what you must learn about what you don’t know.

Every day, every situation, every dilemma offers opportunities to gain useful knowledge. Seize upon those opportunities with a balanced approach, well informed by your life experience.

You’re highly capable of both expanding what you do and improving how you do it. Jump at every chance to exercise those capabilities.
