Having it done

by Ralph Marston

Is there a task you must do but don’t want to do? The optimum time for getting to work on it is right away.

You’re eager to move on to other activities that are more desirable. Transform that eagerness into motivation for completing the unpleasant activity.

The longer you delay, the longer you’ll be burdened by your obligation to do what you’d prefer not to do. Your best option is to eliminate that burden as soon as possible.

Having it done with, is much better than having to get it done. Go ahead and arrive at that point quickly.

Free yourself to focus all your time and attention on the activities you prefer. With discipline and diligence, you can earn that freedom.

Take the opportunity, and jump right into the work you’d rather not do. Soon, you will have left it far behind.
